Job Description The Microbiology Supervisor is responsible for the daily activities of the Microbiology department.
POSITION OBJECTIVES Supervises the Microbiology department staff.
Interacts with clients, suppliers, and vendors.
Active involvement with various complex analytical procedures and tests.
Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of special projects.
Responsible for the execution of all ISO and QC requirements.
Review of daily transmittal and log sheets.
Assign daily work schedule.
Responsible for FDA paperwork.
Working knowledge of BAM, FDA, USDA, and APHA testing procedures.
Schedules and trains staff in various microbiology procedures Works daily with techs answering questions as it pertains to cultures and other tests.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS degree Five (5) years industrial experience with three (3) years in a Microbiology Laboratory.
Three (3) years Supervisory experience or equivalent.
Strong technical skills.
Strong communication skills.
Good problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
Effective interpersonal skills.
