The Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of both annual and long-term strategic marketing plans for a substantial brand or multiple brands, consistent with the Company's growth and profit objectives.
Essential Functions:
Serves as leader in developing and controlling implementation of market strategy, public relations strategy, sales coordination, pricing proposal, merchandising and media plan, packaging and distribution.
Executes and makes recommendations for ongoing marketing plan modifications, package changes and line extensions.
Works with Forecasting, Finance and Sales to manage and influence forecasts.
Leverages the equities inherent in existing products to successfully introduce new products.
Works effectively with Winemaking to communicate consumer product needs.
Manages all resources and marketing expenditures in a highly effective and efficient manner.
Partners with senior management to implement a successful vision/strategy through strong leadership skills.
Develops or approves recommendations to change systems, policies and procedures; ensures timely and accurate implementation.
Participates in department and interdepartmental planning and management teams; works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
Manages and contributes to development of advertising and promotion budgets.
Responsible for some aspects of overhead budget.
Monitors and ensures achievement of performance goals and objectives either directly or through subordinate staff.
Oversees and handles projects that have a short to long term focus.
Balances planning efforts with day to day demands.
Ensures employee conformance to established best practices and proper training of staff.

Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Develops, coaches and mentors subordinate staff.
Conducts performance evaluations; recommends salary adjustments; rewards employees or takes disciplinary action, as necessary; addresses complaints and resolves issues.
Qualifications Minimum
Qualifications:
MBA degree plus 7 years of communications, finance, marketing, or sales experience with increasing levels of responsibility to include 2 years supervisory experience; or Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of communications, finance, marketing, or sales experience with increasing levels of responsibility to include 2 years supervisory experience; or Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of company specific marketing or sales experience with increasing levels of responsibility to include 2 years of supervisory experience.
Experience with effectively presenting information to top management, public groups and boards of directors.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Brand Marketing experience.
Applies a comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments.
Demonstrates leadership.
Proven ability to lead and develop subordinates.
Experience with managing businesses and leveraging basic finance and accounting principles.
Comprehensive knowledge of production winegrowing from grape to bottle, including process control, production processing, work scheduling and prioritizing; government regulations.
Comprehensive knowledge of viticulture.
Experience with reading, analyzing and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
Skilled in writing speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Experience performing work that is complex and varied in nature, requiring frequent evaluation, originality or ingenuity.
Knows and uses comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments.
Computer skill requirements include:
intermediate MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and database.
Proficient in IRI, Brio and Spectra.
Required to complete Wine Ambassador program.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
