The ideal candidate will have at least ten (10) years of experience working as a family law paralegal handling confidential information, managing billable time, meeting statutory and procedural deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking and gathering documentation, scheduling, and ensuring that documents are timely filed with the court.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience with the following:
Prepare and draft motions, pleadings, judgments, and other correspondence (e.
g.
debts and asset lists, witness statements, responsive pleadings, etc.
) Serve as a liaison between the client and attorney, conducting client interviews.
Prepare trial binders and provide assistance to the attorney during trials.
Prepare discovery requests and responses, including disclosure statements.
Maintain attorney calendars and case files.
Schedule appointments, court appearances, and depositions hearings.
Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills with clients and professionals.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and Essential Forms preferred.
Candidate must meet the requirements and be in compliance with California Business Code Section 6405.
