Your work responsibilities as Hospice Director of Nursing:
As our new Hospice Director of Nursing, you will have oversight for all field clinical and some office staff.
Having staff supervision for a census of 300+, possessing primarily Hospice but with some Home Health experience will definitely put you in the front of the line! Reporting to the VP of Clinical Operations, you will be responsible for the implementation, delivery, coordination, with managerial oversight, of the clinical and administrative hospice services delivered by respective teams and regional IDT's consistent with agency policies and procedures.
As our new Hospice Director of Nursing, you serve as a member of the clinical leadership team in order to address problems associated with the delivery of clinical services; identifies staff development needs, and puts forth suggestions for appropriate changes in policies and procedures.
As our new Hospice Director of Nursing on the team, you conduct occasional supervisory visits to allow for observation of performance for all team members.
As our new Hospice Director of Nursing, you arrange team coverage for occasional on-call rotation and staff time off.
Your skills for the Hospice Director of Nursing role:
At least 3 years Hospice nursing and supervisory experience, along with a current CA RN license are mandatory prerequisites.
A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is much preferred, or commensurate experience.
Hospice RN supervisory experience is a prerequisite.
3-5 years experience as a professional nurse with at least 3-5 years hospice experience is preferred.
