Position Summary NorthStar has immediate openings for a Civil Engineering Designer.
General responsibilities, duties and qualifications for these positions are identified below.
Qualifications, Responsibilities, and Duties Professionally communicate with clients, agencies, and co-workers (verbal and written).
Problem solve designs and make sound judgement decisions on projects.
Research and design of civil engineering scopes of work Grading design, storm drainage design, sanitary sewer design, storm water treatment design, water system design, plan/profiles, probable cost engineer's estimates, project specifications, and calculations.
Proficient with AutoCAD LDT and Civil-3D.
Preferable - Proficient with StormCAD and WaterCAD Knowledge of codes and good engineering practices.
Organized and able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively manage time and work independently or within a team.
A strong desire for continuous professional and personal development and improvement.
Education, Licensure, and Certifications 3 Years of design experience in land development Preferable - EIT Benefits and Salary NorthStar has a compensation package that is very competitive and includes full medical and dental benefits for Employee and Dependents, 401k Plan with Company Matching, and vacation/sick pay.
Salary will be based on experience, knowledge, qualifications and education.
