Manufacturing and Production Job Description :
1.
Service, set up, operate, maintain, adjust, perform changeovers, and overhauls sheetfeeder, coaters, ovens sheet stacker, and other pieces of production equipment.
Performs these duties to maintain the maximum production, efficiency and product quality.
2.
Possesses the skill to diagnose mechanical and quality problems, determines the necessary repairs and restores defective equipment to service with a minimum of delay.
3.
The mechanic has full responsibility for the quality of his product and line efficiency and requires supervisory assistance only on unusual quality or operating problems.
4.
Effectively assists supervision with the direction of trainees and other employees.
5.
Reacts immediately to negative quality trends to assure that a quality product is being produced.
6.
Prepares and maintains reports and records related to production, quality, efficiency and maintenance.
7.
Maintains the immediate work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition following the principals of 5S.
9.
Performs related work and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements :
1.
High School Graduate or equivalent is required with preference given to those with an Associates Degree in related area.
3.
Has significant experience using hand and power tools, micrometers, dial indicators, Vernier calipers and other precision measuring instruments, gages and tools used on the job.
Requires testing and passing of pre:
employment mechanical testing.
4.
Required to furnish all standard hand tools required on the job.
5.
Computer literate.
