Company Description Job Description SUMMARY An opportunity for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join the Financial Systems Team, in the support, enhancement, and implementation of Financial, Supplier Development, Legal, and Compliance Applications.
This position works closely with the business and developers to deliver quality solutions.
In addition to working with various small application packages, the Senior Business Systems Analyst will also be involved with projects relating to E-Req, J.
D.
Edwards, APWF, CRM, EDI, and Procure to Pay.
The Senior Business Systems Analyst formulates and defines project/system scope and objectives, conducts business process analyses, needs assessments and preliminary cost/benefit analyses in an effort to align Information Technology solutions with business initiatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, MIS, Mathematics, or Engineering plus 3 years of business systems analysis experience to include experience in a programming analysis role and at least 1 year of project management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or 7 years of business systems analysis experience to include experience in a programming analysis role and at least 1 year of project management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
High school diploma or GED.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, MIS, Mathematics, or Engineering plus 5 years of business systems analysis experience to include experience in a programming analysis role and at least 1 year of project management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Knowledge of project management tools.
Experience writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Excellent communication skills and business writing skills.
Experience interfacing with broad technology areas and a range of business and functional requirements.
Experience with JDE (JD Edwards) ERP system.
Experience with Visio, MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, and SharePoint.
Also, working knowledge of SQL query language and relational database design.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION Understands the business areas supported to determine specific business requirements.
Leads complex projects which entails monitoring the work of IT professionals.
Writes descriptions of business needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify systems.
Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing processes or create new solutions.
Prepares requirements, functional, system, and technical program specifications.
Prepares proposals and recommendations for management and users.
Prepares project-phase plans and implementation schedules, plans and conducts meetings and workshops relative to these project plans, and communicates project status reporting to all levels of management.
Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other IT business units/areas to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts.
Creates work plans for others and is expected to meet budget and schedule commitments.
Analyzes processes to support both non-computerized and computerized work-flow, including recommending technologies that can enhance the effectiveness of the process.
Prepares proposals and recommendations for management and users.
Studies existing data systems and business processes to evaluate effectiveness.
Plans and prepares documentation of the development and functioning of systems and processes.
Acts as a liaison with other departments, divisions, and organizations.
