Summary:
In this key role on the team you will formulate and define systems scope and objectives and analyze business procedures and problems to develop specifications and convert them to application code in support of Sales & Operations Planning Systems for the company.
KEY AREAS OF FOCUS / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
o Understands the business areas supported to determine specific output requirements and report format.
Supports multiple business areas.
o Defines and documents business requirements.
o Leads one or more medium sized and complex projects which entail overseeing internal IT professionals, as well as external IT professionals.
o Conducts studies pertaining to development of new systems to meet current and projected needs.
o Plans and prepares documentation of the development and functioning of operational systems.
o Prepares technical reports and instructional manuals.
o Prepares proposals and recommendations for management and users.
o Responsible for conducting or coordinating quality assurance testing.
o Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other IT business units/areas to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts.
o Creates work plans for others and is expected to meet budget and schedule commitments.
o Functions as a liaison with other departments, divisions, and organizations.
o Communicates project status to all levels of management.
o Perform root cause analysis for any technical application issues.
o Lead technical understanding for successful upgrades and implementation of future phases of application.
o Creates technical documentation.
SUPERVISORY
Responsibilities:
o Trains junior level personnel in technical complexities of assigned work.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS o High School Diploma or GED.
o Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience in programming analysis, software engineering, or software development to include working knowledge of web application development techniques and programming languages including Java, Spring, Hibernate, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or 7 years of experience in programming analysis, software engineering, or software development to include working knowledge of web application development techniques and programming languages including Java, Spring, Hibernate, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
o 2 years of experience with Java or other object oriented programming language.
o 1 year of experience with Oracle and Oracle SQL.
o Experience with software installation, configuration and upgrades.
o Strong technical, oral/written communication and analysis/documentation skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or Engineering plus 5 years of experience in JDE World Software, programming analysis, software engineering, or software development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
o 3
years of working experience in Java based design patterns and application frameworks such as Spring.
o 2
years of experience development and maintenance of large web applications using Java, JavaScript, Spring, Hibernate.
o Strong Oracle SQL skills and relational database knowledge.
o Experienced in creating systems of monitoring and metric reporting.
o Demonstrates the highest level of programming proficiency.
o Demonstrates strong initiative, self-motivation, and commitment to the job.
o Experienced in influencing user management.
o Experienced in managing customer expectations.
o Knowledge of other business areas.
Demonstrates strong team building skills, adapts to unexpected changes, and acts as a strong role model.
o Demonstrates strong negotiation and conflict resolution skill.
o Broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in this field of specialization.
