JOB TITLE: 2nd Shift Driver Manager/Dispatch
REPORTS TO: Dispatch Supervisor
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

JOB
Summary:
The Dispatcher position will be in constant contact with drivers and independent contractors, scheduling pickup and delivery appointments, maintaining customer trailer pools, updating the TMS, monitoring driver performance and customer contact as needed.
Essential Functions:
o Handle all phone/email/message traffic from/to drivers, contractors and customers.
o Dispatch drivers for prompt pickups and deliveries.
o Data entry of orders into our TMS (McLeod)
o Maintain an accurate dispatch board in TMS.
o Monitor all shipments to insure pick-up and delivery deadlines are met.
o Monitor and maintain accurate onsite reports for each account.
o Sending of nightly recap to ensure smooth transition to day shift.
o Communicate will all drivers and contractors to update all driver activity in TMS, in real time.
o Track and update trailer availability for each account in TMS.
o Research all unfinished loads in TMS daily.
o Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
ESSENTIAL
Qualifications:
o High School Diploma
o 2 years of Transportation support (Dispatch) experience preferred.
o Knowledge of McLeod TMS also a plus.
o Excellent computer skills. (Access, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.)
o Excellent verbal and written customer service/communication skills.
o Familiar with trucking terminology.
o Acute attention to detail.
o Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
o Ability to work with all levels of management.
o Strong organizational, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
o Able to manage priorities, workflow, and a high level of responsibility, with minimum direct supervision.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
