Department Overview

The men and women of Enterprise Public Works Coordination ensure the delivery of safe and reliable Gas and Electric service to our customers, by proactively working with local cities and counties to coordinate and communicate our work in the public right of way, according to local laws, to limit impacts to the public and to promote public safety.
Enterprise Public Works Coordination Agency Liaison Team is responsible for holding and foster the operational relationship with local municipalities.

Position Summary

Develops and maintains governmental, political, and community networks within PG&E's service areas.
Partners with cities, counties, community, environmental, and business organizations to enhance customer loyalty, environmental leadership, community engagement, and enable infrastructure development.
Plans and implements PG&E's government relations and public affairs programs and services and provides emergency response and support to local communities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Attends, participates, and/or represents PG&E within activities, events, and functions of community organizations.
  • Collaborates with PG&E s lines of business (LOB) to enhance and sustain government relations and public affairs partnerships, programs, and services.
  • Coordinates external contacts regarding arising, current, and/or post-aftermath during times of crisis and/or emergency response situations.
  • Coordinates PG&E s analysis and response regarding government relations and public affairs issues to federal, state, and local political assemblies, bodies, or entities.
  • Create & Maintain positive working relationships with key external stakeholders, including elected and appointed officials, business and trade organizations, labor unions, non-profits and other community leaders.
  • Develops and implements PG&E s government relations and public affairs programs including key contacts, political action committees (PACs), and grass root efforts.
  • Develops and maintains cooperative and situational relationships with various county Office of Emergency Services (OES) officers and other external contacts, as assigned.
  • Develops and maintains government and community networks and affiliations.
  • Responds to and resolves PG&E customer issues referred by local elected officials.
  • Serves as a political/community point- of-contact for PG&E within respective service areas and assigned cities and counties,

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of experience working for an elected official, public or non-profit agency, as a political consultant, or other relevant experience
  • CA Class C License, or equivalent
  • Record of Clean Driving

Desired:

  • Bachelors Degree in Political Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in emergency response
  • Utility industry experience, job-related
  • 4 years experience as Political Consultant, job-related
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • ICS-Incident Command System certification
  • Record of Smith Driving training completion

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
